Our monthly LGBT Age film club welcomes all older LGBT+ people (50+) for relaxed get-togethers in a safe and friendly environment where all LGBT+ identities and experiences are affirmed. These provide great opportunities to meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and watch great films.
Queer in math and queering math: in celebration of pride

Queer theory challenges essentialist or normative conceptions of identity, often using personal stories to show the limits of conventional categories. In this talk, Riehl shares her journey as a queer mathematician, tracing the formation of a pair of identities that were more often developed in parallel rather than fully integrated. In addtion she will explore the recent "queering" of the concept of "identity" in mathematics, which enables a more expansive notion of mathematical equality than appears in traditional mathematical foundations.
Music and Words from the Trans Imaginary: An Evening with CN Lester

CN Lester is a multi-genre musician: a classical singer, improviser/deviser, composer, and alternative piano-based singer-songwriter. For An Evening with CN Lester, they will perform selections of their soulful, melodic, piano-based music, brought to life by the sumptuous sound of the Reid Concert Hall’s Steinway piano. CN will also deliver a reading of their recent reflections on the current state of life for trans people in the U.K.

Dyke Bar Goes Feral

Edinburgh Curveballs: 2025 Open Squash Tournament

Come play in Scotland's capital with friends from LGBTQ+ clubs across the UK and further afield in a fun and friendly tournament, open to all. We will meet at 10am to play round robin games to determine ranking for the afternoon knock-out. Lunch and snacks will be provided to all attendees, included in the cost of the event ticket. Players in the lower categories who get knocked out in the first round will enter a plate tournament - so everyone will get a good few games in.

Queer Moves

Queer Moves is a community group led by queer community members with the support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing and Dance Base. This group was created through the desire to connect with the queer community in Scotland and make space for those who wish to explore dance and movement for art, healing, fitness, socialising and connection. This group will allow a space to ground with our bodies, individually and as a group.
Tea4T - Transgender Social

An event for trans socialising, with free tea and pastries of your choice! Come mingle, connect, and process together in a safe supportive space. If you'd rather process alone, a tea and pastry will be available for you to have alone for takeaway. It's the least we can offer right now.
Creative Journaling for LGBTQIA+

Take time at the end of your week for self-reflection. Together in a supportive group, we will journal using guided prompts to help process life events, imagine potential futures, and remember moments of magic. No writing experience is required.
